ADGM Academy Wins Two Prestigious Awards at OT Security First MENA Energy & Utilities Summit

Abu Dhabi, UAE — ADGM Academy has been recognised with two awards at the OT Security First MENA Energy and Utilities Summit, held under the patronage of the UAE Cyber Security Council. The awards highlight the Academy’s growing leadership in cybersecurity capability development across the region, particularly in operational technology (OT) and critical infrastructure protection.
The ADGM Academy Tech Centre received the Ransomware Defense Leadership Award, acknowledging its sustained contributions to strengthening the UAE’s cyber resilience. The recognition reflects the Centre’s applied research into emerging cyber threats affecting the UAE financial sector, especially ransomware, and its development of practical mitigation frameworks. This work is reinforced by continuous ecosystem-wide engagements that bring together regulators, financial institutions, and technology partners to share intelligence, enhance collective preparedness, and promote coordinated action against evolving cyber risks.
The Academy’s Cyber Arena, an excellence centre operating under the Tech Centre, was honoured with the OT Security Innovation Award. Launched in 2025, Cyber Arena is an immersive, hands-on cybersecurity environment designed to advance OT and critical infrastructure defence capabilities. Through realistic simulations and applied training, Cyber Arena equips professionals with operational skills across cyber defence, fraud prevention, and resilience engineering bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world readiness. The initiative has quickly become a regional benchmark for innovation in workforce capability development.
