ADGM Academy Welcomes Khalifa University and CIE53 Conference Delegation

ADGM Academy welcomed approximately 40 participants from the 53rd Computers and Industrial Engineering Conference (CIE53) for a visit showcasing the innovation ecosystem on Al Maryah Island. The delegation included academics specialising in computer science, management, industrial and systems engineering.
The visit introduced participants to ADGM Academy, the knowledge arm of ADGM, and its work to develop future-ready talent by connecting education, industry and policy. The delegation also learned about the Academy’s wider ecosystem, which brings together academic institutions, government and industry to support research, innovation and thought leadership.
The visit featured an introduction to the ADGM Academy Research & Tech Centre, followed by a presentation on RealAssetX Abu Dhabi, a collaboration between ADGM Academy and PGIM. The presentations highlighted how collaborative research and industry expertise can contribute to new ideas and practical developments across finance, technology and real assets.
By presenting these initiatives together, the session demonstrated how research can move beyond academic discussion and contribute to practical industry thinking. It also highlighted the value of bringing researchers and industry practitioners into the same environment to examine emerging technologies, test new ideas and consider their application within financial services and real assets.
The visit concluded with an interactive discussion, giving participants the opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore how academic research can engage with real-world industry priorities. The engagement reflects ADGM Academy’s continued commitment to providing meaningful industry exposure and strengthening connections between academic knowledge and industry insights.
